WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS
GUARANTEE
1 . Stephill Generators Ltd, shall guarantee good quality and proper functioning of the
purchased generator if used in the manner appropriate for the purpose thereof and in
accordance with the operation manual, and shall provide warranty services subject to the
following conditions:
a. This Warranty covers the defects resulting from defective parts, materials or
manufacturing, if such defects are revealed during the period of 12 months since the date
of despatch.
b. The generator is considered defective if it fails to perform as indicated in the relevant
technical specification, operation manual or any other similar documents.
2 . During the Warranty period, should the generator fail due to the above, we (Stephill
Generators Ltd) or a nominated agent or representative is given reasonable opportunity to
examine, rectify, repair or replace the unit at our option. Stephill Generators Ltd will accept no
responsibility whatsoever for equipment that has failed due to;.
a. The customer making further use of the generator after reporting a defect unless
specifically instructed otherwise by Stephill Generators Ltd.
b. The Engine is operated with the incorrect fuel, lubricating oil or coolant.
c. The Customer fails to maintain the service record relating to the generator up to date.
d. After sales modifications made to the generator not carried out by Stephill Generators Ltd
or its sub-contractors.
e. Any defect that arises from the Customers own design or specification made to order.
f. Improper repair or use of parts not supplied by Stephill Generators Ltd. g. Any defect that
arises from fair wear and tear, misuse, negligence, accidental damage, improper storage,
incorrect starting / warm-up / run-in or shutdown or damage from improper
transportation.
g. The Alternator has failed due to ingress of moisture unless the alternator has been
specifically treated to prevent the ingress of moisture and is within the Alternator
manufactures warranty agreement.
h. Any damage or defect as a direct result of overloading, incorrect loads or an imbalance of
load on the generator.
i. Failures due to environmental and atmospheric conditions e.g., generator run in an
enclosed space, high temperature and humidity, lightning strikes etc.
j. Expendable or consumable service parts are not covered under Warranty after such items
first scheduled replacement as indicated within the owner’s manual.
k. Batteries are service item and are not covered under Warranty.
